Growing advancement in the camera system and aerial technology has led the adoption of aerial imaging for remote sensing that enables the user to view things like water levels, topography, landform changes, and vegetation patterns. In fact, aerial imaging has been around since the 1970s, and among the most important and unique features of this technology is its ability to offer on-demand access to data. A wide variety of applications in the fields of resource development, mapping, geology, engineering, and agriculture have relied on aerial imagery, and it is only going to continue to grow.

One of its many advantages is its ability to provide accurate maps and 3D data that are more accurate than any other form of satellite imagery. This allows for precise, accurate mapping. The ability to see such large scale changes at any given time can greatly help a variety of industries by helping them plan and manage their projects more effectively.

Aerial images also have the added advantage of allowing the user to have immediate access to the data. Instead of having to wait for a plane to land, the user can simply fly over the project and view it without actually having to be on board. Also, an aerial image is often of better quality than a satellite image, as it does not require any image processing in order to be processed by a computer.

Aerial imagery is also highly versatile. It is able to be used to survey and plan construction of buildings, to monitor vegetation growth, to study the ground for soil erosion, and other types of landforms, and much more. It has also been used for a variety of other uses, including the development of bridges, roadways, and parking structures, which are a great benefit to those who drive around towns and cities. Another important application of this technique is in helping to detect changes in weather patterns, which is particularly beneficial in cases where weather conditions can change dramatically.
