Acrylic fibers (also known as artificial wool) are synthetic fibers made from polyacrylonitrile (polymer). Acrylic fibers offer resistance to laundry bleach, weak alkalis, microbiological attack, and ultraviolet degradation. Moreover, they offer good thermal stability, high stability toward bleaching agents, and are an ideal choice for the production of textiles. Acrylic fibers are very flexible and durable and can be used on a wide variety of different things. They also find applications in industries due to their high-performance values. Acrylic fibers can be used to make clothes and other items, such as tracksuits, sweaters, shoes, gloves, and coats.

They can be used to make home furnishings, such as pile sheets, blankets, cushions, upholstery, rugs, and carpets. Advantages of acrylic fabric are; they offer better warmth and elasticity than that of wool. The products made of acrylic fabric are strong sunlight resistance, oxidation resistance, and acid resistance. However, acrylic fabrics also have some disadvantages, such as poor alkali resistance.

In Europe, an acrylic fiber producer introduced four new brands to strengthen its market presence. The company aims to bring acrylic fiber where it deserves with these four new brands. Moreover, recently, the company launched a brand new product with a permanent antimicrobial effect to meet the hygiene and comfort expectations of consumers. Moreover, acrylic fiber manufacturers, in Europe, are focusing on developing advanced technologies for manufacturing acrylic fibers. Acrylic fibers are unique materials with several unique properties. Acrylic fibers closely resemble wool in its character. They are lightweight, warm, and soft to the touch. It is generally chosen as a cheaper alternative to cashmere wool and is used in a wide range of textile applications.
