Adhesives are one of the most essential products used in a variety of industries with the sole function of keeping objects or materials together. Adhesives have a variety of ranges and different types of adhesives are used for different applications. Polyurethane adhesives are thermoplastic glue that contains replicas of organic chain units linked to urethane links. The chemical reaction between polymers results in the creation of adhesives. This type of adhesive is extremely strong and resistant to degradation and therefore, it is used in a variety of applications including construction, furniture, footwear, flooring & roofing, laminating, aerospace, pharmaceutical, cladding, cold stores, and caravans.Pigments can also be added to a polyurethane adhesive for applications where it's important to have it visible at the application surface. 

These pigments are available in a range of colors, including red, green, blue, yellow, white, and orange. It can also be bought as a polyurethane spray, for surface applications where the quick application is needed. Polyurethane adhesives can be used in the automotive industry to manufacture a wide range of products, including brake pads, fuel lines, exhaust systems, and radiators. Some polyurethane fillers can be combined with other types of adhesives to form a more durable product. Some adhesives are specifically intended for specific applications, so they must be carefully chosen. Polyurethane adhesives also include resins that are obtained from petroleum sources.

These polyurethane additives are used in a variety of applications, including oil and gas refractory tools, coatings, and fire retardants. Furthermore, they can also be used for floor coverings, floor finishes, and coatings of wood and other surfaces. One of the most common uses of this type of adhesives is in the footwear or shoe industry. These adhesives offer excellent adhesive properties for most shoe components bonding purposes. Key industry leaders in the U.S., Italy, and U.K. are focused on launching biodegradable polyurethane adhesives for packaging, agriculture, and construction industries. The use of biodegradable materials is expected to reduce plastic waste and the use of petroleum materials.
